Our Story
We have created this company to introduce Conscious, Collective Clothing for all. We have a passion for fashion and ethical and sustainable clothing. We are inspired by the idea of a world where the interests of the many prevail over the corporate interests of the few. We’re tired of lack of action on climate change, we’re tired of the global corporate elite destroying the environment and our political systems and we are tired of the patriarchal bullshit.
We are inspired and supporting incredible grassroots activists from around the world who are fighting those trying to destroy and corrupt the earth and its population. They feel like we do - like you do. It’s worth remembering there are lots of us and we’ve created this clothing line as one way to connect us. Everything is possible - we are all connected - come and be a part of the Global Tribe
Saskia Daggett
My whole heart and soul is devoted to our shared vision of a better world. The social justice fire in my belly was ignited when I started working in homeless hostels in the UK when I was 16. I went on to work for a range of charities cutting my campaigning teeth at the National Council for Voluntary Organisations - working to safeguard civil society space - I was living in London in my 20's and having a blast but something deeper was calling me. I moved to Uganda in 2009 to volunteer and ended up working with a wide range of grassroots organisations in health, education, women's rights and anti-corruption. I stayed in Uganda for 7 years and it shook my little world completely and gave me valuable insights into what was possible in regards to social change and what activists can do. I went on to work for Oxfam leading an international climate change programme. I also worked as Programmes and Campaigns Directors for a range of organisations and then set up the Mizizi Project with four amazing women from around the world. To help fund Mizizi I dreamt up the Global Tribe with my dear friend Candra. We wanted to directly support grassroots activists whilst running a successful business. We - just like you are passionate about social justice and protecting our planet. There's so much we can do together. We're so thrilled you are interested in the Global Tribe and hope you love the clothes and the cause. Welcome to the Tribe!
Candra Johnson
I have had quite a childhood. Since little I have travelled a lot and lived in various parts of the world. I have lived in America (Florida and New York), Dominica (the nature Island of the Caribbean) and France. Once I was of age I worked as a counsellor in France for kids ages 3 - 18 for 5 years, passionate about educating the new generation. I then moved to England to pursue higher education whilst working as a Kitchen Manager and Chef in a restaurant. In my free time I am quite active and help my community by volunteering at food banks and group clean ups. Educating people on how to be sustainable is quite an important cause for me. There are so many things we can do as a society to actively save the planet and stop the destruction, and more people need to believe in this. Being a multiracial child, moving all the time and not feeling accepted or not always being part of a community really gave me a different perspective on the world and its inhabitants. The world would be a better place with more acceptance and less judgement. I want to inform more people about the happenings of our planet and get more people on board and create a Tribe where everyone who is feeling unaccepted can have a community too, thus the Global Tribe.

The Global Tribe Clothing Company is a sustainable, eco friendly clothing line. Created by two women who are passionate about people and our society. We want to create a community where people are informed of the injustices happening on our planet and contribute to those fighting for change. Giving people a voice through our designs whilst spreading the message.
